Gombe Police nab suspected killers of 58-year-old Aishatu Abdullahi

The Gombe State Police Command, on Sunday, confirmed the arrest of suspected killers of a mother of eight, Aishatu Abdullahi.

This is coming less than 48 hours after the killing of Abdullahi by some unidentified armed men over her alleged failure to surrender her mobile phone to them.

ASP Mahid Muazu Abubakar, confirmed the arrest via the X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.

“Police arrest suspected killers of 58-year-old, Aishatu Abdullahi (Adda Damori), 48 hours after the incident. Details later,” the post read.

After the brutal murder which took place on Saturday, the state governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, had given security agencies orders to fish-out the perpetrators of the crime, asking them to leave no stone unturned.

Yahaya, also conveyed the condolences of the government and the people of the state to the bereaved family, describing the way the deceased was killed as gruesome.

“I want to make it abundantly clear that there will be no escape from justice for those responsible for this vile and vicious act.Our security agencies are directed to leave no stone unturned to track down the culprits to account for their heinous actions.

“The details of this incident, as preliminarily reported by the police, are nothing short of horrifying as a dark stain.

“Our hearts bleed for the bereaved family who are grappling with an unimaginable loss, and for the Jekadafari community, as well as the entire citizens who are now scarred by the traumatic aftermath of this tragic event,” he said.
