Osun State Fire Service has confirmed that its men saved items worth over N100 million in a fire incident that occurred at Post Office area, Osogbo, on Sunday.
The Nation learnt that fire gutted three-row shops at the old PZ building, Station Road, Osogbo, destroying goods.
It was gathered that the swift response of the Fire Service, after receiving a distress call, saved other items.
Fire Service spokesman Adekunle Ibrahim confirmed that goods were destroyed in the fire.
He said the cause of the inferno was not known, adding that he suspected that an electrical appliance was plugged since Saturday.
“We have not ascertained the worth of goods destroyed, but items saved worth N100million,” Ibrahim said.
