Media personality Nedu has clarified that he was not fired from The Honest Bunch podcast, but chose to step down due to personal attacks.
The controversy surrounding his exit stemmed from an episode featuring reality TV star Deeone, who made allegations against social media critic VeryDarkMan.
At a recent press briefing in Lagos, Nedu explained that he decided to leave the podcast to protect himself from the personal attacks.
He emphasised that his role on the show was to facilitate tough conversations, but the personal nature of the attacks had become too much to bear.
Nedu stated: “Let me clarify that I wasn’t fired from Honest Bunch Podcast. I decided to step away when the attacks became personal. So that the show can go on.”
