Almost three decades after retiring from active dancing, Funke Kuti, the sensational dancer and ex-wife of Afrobeat legend, Femi Kuti, has returned to her first love.
Funke Kuti’s return to dancing comes a few years after her son, Made Kuti, joined his father’s positive force band.
The pretty Funke, who runs FK Management, has decided to enlighten and teach numerous dancers the rudiments of Afrobeat dance steps.
The former dancer, who toured with Femi Kuti’s Positive Force band until her retirement, took her first class at the Bailamos Dance house in Lekki.
The dance class tagged Afrobeat 101 with Funke Kuti, had several individuals struggling to attend the class.
Kuti hinted that she would be holding more classes in the coming days.
Funke Kuti was one of the amazing and sexiest dancers in Femi Kuti’s band. She danced and toured with the band until she retired after quitting her marriage. She has since been running a talent management firm, FK Management, and had handled talents that include Weird MC, and Kate Henshaw amongst others.
